On behalf of the local arrangements committee for the 2020 Canadian Phytopathological Society (CPS) Annual Meeting, we invite you to join us in Penticton, in the spectacular Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, to celebrate the United Nations-declared “International Year of Plant Health”. Following CPS goals to encourage research, education, and the dissemination of knowledge on the nature, cause, and control of plant diseases, the CPS annual meeting provides an excellent opportunity for plant pathologists and crop health professionals to meet, share and discuss the latest research findings in areas of common interest that will advance plant health management in Canada and internationally. We are thrilled to have the privilege of hosting CPS-2020, and welcome you to experience all the Okanagan has to offer in June, including breathtaking views of vineyards, orchards, lakes, mountains and, of course, some of the best wines in the world.

March 1st, 2020: Registration opens
March 1st – April 15th, 2020: Early registration
April 16th – June 12th, 2020: Late registration
June 12th, 2020: Registration closes
June 21st – 24th, 2020: Onsite registration (only single day registrations)

Student registration also includes the Students Social.
^b Available for single day attendance on Monday June 22nd, Tuesday June 23rd, and Wednesday June 24th. Includes all conference materials, attendance to all sessions for the registered day, coffee breaks and lunches. Single day registration for Tuesday June 23rd does not include banquet dinner. Student single day registration for Monday June 22nd also includes the Student Social.

The Local Arrangements Committee and the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre have negotiated special rates for participants of the 2020 Canadian Phytopathological Society Annual Meeting staying at the Hotel. In total, 90 rooms have been blocked with the following rates:

Room rates are based on single/double occupancy, are net, non-commissionable and subject to applicable taxes. Current taxes total 15% (8% PST, 5% GST, 2% AHRT) and are subject to change with legislation.

Parking: Parking is $10 per vehicle, per day, for in-house guests.

Complimentary: We are pleased to provide all delegates with complimentary wireless Internet in all guestrooms and meeting space.

2 Queen Bedroom Lakeview

The room block is set to release on May 7th, 2020. After this date, we will not be able to guarantee rooms and the room rates may increase to our regular guestroom rates.

*Depending the number of abstracts submitted, CPS 2020 Annual Meeting will end on Wednesday the 24th either in the morning or afternoon

Join us to see and discuss about perennial woody crops production in the Okanagan Valley and the important diseases affecting forest trees, grapevines and tree fruits. Discover some of the research being conducted in Canada to better understand and mitigate the impact of these diseases.
